We're Back Baby!! (01.19.07)
That's right GRS fans, after a fairly long hiatus the GRS Crew is finally back and ready to rock! Part of the reason why the GRS was 'off the air' for so long had to do with some significant changes that needed to be made regarding how the GRS would be broadcasting from now on. In June of 2006, the GRS decided to stop broadcasting live shows via KCSB 91.9 FM (University of California, Santa Barbara). Although the GRS had a great run with KCSB, the weekly burden of producing live broadcasts proved to be way too much work for the GRS Crew (who are all full time graduate students). As such, the GRS has officially decided to 'scale things down a bit', recording only one new show per month to be available at the end of each month via (manual) online download from the GRS website or (automatically) through a free podcast subscription. This new online broadcast format is definitely a much better way to go given the Crew's busy schedule and the fact that most GRS listeners (both old and new) seem to prefer listening to the GRS via the internet anyway. So, that's the basic story. The GRS Crew wants to thank everyone for their continued patience over the last couple of months. And although the GRS will usually only put out one new broadcast per month from now on, the Crew thought that it might be nice to offer everyone two brand new shows in January to help kick off the new season and the new broadcast format. So enjoy the two new episodes (Meta-Ethics & Possible Worlds Semantics) and help spread the word that we're back in action. Thanks again! Sincerely, the GRS Crew.
